Currently (january 2005), McStas is supported by the

• MCNSI Joint Research Activity (JRA) within the Neutron Muon Integrated Inffrastructure Initiative (NMI3) within the 6th Framework Programme (FP6) of the European Union

Through this funding programme, the McStas Team cooperates with other projects working on neutron MC software:

• The VITESS project from Hahn Meitner Institute, Berlin, (DE)
• The RESTRAX project from Neutron Physics Institute, Rez near Prague, (CZ)

Outside of MCNSI we cooperate also with the US MC and other software projects

• The NISP project from Los Alamos National Laboratory
• The IDEAS project from Spallation Neutron Source, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
• The DANSE project from Caltech Center for Advanced Computing Research uses Python and Pyre to modularise McStas components.
