Below, the distribution packages for McStas may be downloaded. Details and important information about each release may be found here. Please, also read the conditions of use for McStas.McStas is available in source code form for Unix-like systems, as well as precompiled versions for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The new version has been tested on a variety of platforms, but should compile also for most other Unix systems. An ANSI-C compiler is required; GCC works well. In case of difficulties, contact the McStas administrator so that the problems may be solved in the next version.

Here are the README file, the CHANGES file and the installation instructions from the current stable release. Additional 'support applications' should be installed before installing McStas.
